• Artwork should preferably supplied as a pdf or eps, but smaller ads can be sent as Quark files with separate image files (either tiff or eps).
• Image files can be sent by e-mail as high-quality (low compression) jpegs.
• Both EPS and Quark files must be sent with appropriate (Mac) fonts (unless an EPS has embedded fonts).
• Image files should be scanned in at 300dpi, line art at 600dpi.
• PDFs should be optimised to 600dpi, with all fonts embedded, and images at above resolutions.

Better Business Online is one of the largest and most comprehensive independent web sites for UK small businesses. During the month of January, 2006:

Across the top of the page in the central panel. First come, first served. The advert may be either a banner (size 468 x 60 pixels) or three lines of text to the same width.

Within most pages/categories is a column on the right of the page for advertising/sponsorship.

Ranking level: you will go at the top if you are the first. Ads move up the column as earlier advertisers' bookings expire.
